What should guests bring with them for their stay?

Are there any additional costs?
All costs are clearly laid out on the booking form and Terms and Conditions. The price you pay for the Lodge includes access to buildings as above, electric and water (there is no gas at the Goblin Combe Lodge).
Other costs are for firewood, a check out after midday and loss or breakages as follows:
- Firewood
If groups would like to have a fire in the Cottage or fire pit adjacent to the Cottage, firewood can be purchased at a cost of £7.50 per bag (approx 15 pieces of wood). Groups advise as part of the booking process how many bags of wood they require for their stay. It is paid for as part of the booking process having been invoiced for as appropriate. - Check Out After Midday
There is a standard check out time of midday. Stays beyond midday incur a charge of £25 per hour and are dependant on whether there is another group arriving that day. If groups request a check out time after midday, the appropriate amount will be added to the invoice.
Very occasionally Goblin Combe has to ask groups to check in after midday or check out before midday if there are other groups leaving or arriving the same day. Groups will be advised as part of the booking process if this is the case. - Loss or Breakages
The Hirer shall pay to Goblin Combe the amount certified by Goblin Combe as being the amount incurred by Goblin Combe in making good any damage to or loss of the Lodge site equipment including (but not by way of limitation) adjacent premises, furniture, carpets, furnishings and fittings, or any article owned by Goblin Combe arising in any way out of the hire.
How much firewood will be required for a group stay?
The Lodge and Cottage are both centrally heated. The Cottage which contains the kitchen, communal / dining area & syndicate room has an open fire in the communal area that some groups like to light. There is also a fire pit just outside the Cottage. As a suggestion we estimate 1 bag will last an evening in the cottage or 2 bags for a larger fire outside in the fire pit.
How much is firewood?
Goblin Combe are happy to supply wood for burning at a cost of £7.50 per bag (approx 15 pieces). Groups advise before a stay how many bags are required for the duration of the stay. The Lodge site is adjacent to a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest and wood for burning must not be taken from there or anywhere else on the site.
What bedding is provided by Goblin Combe?
The beds at the Lodge are all single bunk beds. All beds are fitted with a mattress cover. Goblin Combe provide single fitted sheets for groups to put one on each bed on arrival. The single sheets need to be removed at the end of the stay (but not the mattress covers).
Groups need to bring their own sleeping bags / quilts and pillows as required.
What are the check in/check out times?
The check in time is 4pm or after and check out is by 11am. It may be possible in some circumstances to arrange a late check out and stays beyond 11am incur a charge of £25 per hour. If groups request a check out time after 11am, the appropriate amount will be added to the invoice.
What facilities are there near by?
The Lodge Booking Pack contains information about local facilities on page 11.
In addition there is a post office in Yatton (approx 4 miles) and another in Backwell (approx 4 miles).
