Goblin Combe offers an exciting range of engaging and challenging KS1 & KS2 programmes. These include: interactive walks; learning about wildlife; exploring the woodland; firelighting and shelterbuilding; embracing historic cultures and using natural resources to create arts and crafts.
Specifically our programmes are as follows:
- Dormouse Detectives: Learning about dormice through an interactive story
- Glen the Goblin: Shelter building, collecting and sorting objects whilst following an interactive story
- Go Bananas!: Fun and fast paced activity around a camp fire
- Young Explorers: Exploring the woodland using a part completed map which participants will complete
- Wild @ Art: An arts and crafts activity using natural materials and exploring the woodland
- Your World: Considering different habitats at School and how to improve them to encourage wildlife (takes place in School grounds)
- Bird Life: Understanding how to be a bird, different calls and dances. Make bird feeders to take home and learn how birds migrate
- Celts and Romans: Participants enjoy an interactive walk through history, learning about Celts and Romans
- Woodland Investigators: Explore the diverse habitats in Goblin Combe. Identifying and aging trees, exploring undergrowth and identifying minibeasts
- Wilderness Challenge: Team games, firelighting, shelterbuilding and cooking a pudding
- Transition: Designed for those making the transition from primary to secondary school
