Goblin Combe is an amazing location to come and investigate. Visitors can explore the deep, mysterious Combe gouged from a limestone plateau, the high Toot, an unexcavated Iron Age Settlement and the semi-natural ancient woodland, flower rich calcareous grassland and limestone heath that surrounds them.
Goblin Combe manages permissive footpaths throughout the woodland that are open to the public all year round. There are carved information boards throughout Goblin Combe and if young adventurers bring paper and colouring pencils they can take rubbings from the carvings on these boards.
Approximately 80 acres of the woodland are protected as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). One of the protected species in Goblin Combe is the Moonwort Fern. A graphical representation of this is the unusual looking plant featured in our logo. To ensure this precious habitat is maintained there are no bridle paths in the woodland and mountain biking is prohibited.
