The LodgeIn the heart of North Somerset our Lodge is set in eight acres of its own grounds with stunning views across the Severn Estuary and beyond.

Our 130-acre, semi-ancient woodland can be accessed directly from the Lodge. The woodlands are rich in history and geology, and with 50 acres designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest, offer something for everyone. We are sure you will appreciate that with a name like Goblin Combe our woods are also a place of mystery.  The Lodge is available to hire for schools  and corporate groups.

The Lodge was built in 2007 and provides affordable quality accommodation. It is a timber-framed building which is clad in larch and was built to incorporate a wide range of environmental features including a biomass central heating system, rainwater harvesting, no use of toxic paint and its own sewage treatment plant.

Groups of up to 38 can be accommodated in rooms sleeping two, four and six people. For smaller groups low occupancy rates are available.

Alongside our Lodge is the Cottage which provides lounge, dining and catering facilities. The Cottage is equipped to cater for up to 38 people although we once managed a ‘Vikings Banquet’ for 60! Our Cottage is centrally heated with an open fire and is the ideal place to relax and warm yourself after a long day of activities, or to prepare for one of our exciting night walks which provide an opportunity to meet our resident owls and other creatures of the night.

Other facilities available to Lodge visitors include our 18ft diameter Mongolian Yurt, fire pits and BBQ area for al fresco meals and singsongs.

Self-catering and catered options are available and close by we are able to offer exceptional dining venues or something different, perhaps arrange a trip to local brewers Butcombe Ales or cheese and cider tasting at a local cider press.

Enjoying excellent transport links, Goblin Combe Lodge is located just 10 miles from the city of Bristol and coastal resort of Weston-Super-Mare.
