The Lodge and woodland provide the ideal venue for a range of outdoor, team building, educational and field study . Explore the woodland with Glen the Goblin, take a step back in time with Celts and Romans, investigate the impact of tourism or undertake the wilderness challenge. Goblin Combe offers a wide range of curriculum linked fun activities for all key stages in the geologically and historically fascinating woodland which includes a 50 acre site of special scientific interest.
The Lodge was purpose built in 2007 and provides affordable, safe, and secure quality accommodation. Groups of up to 38 can be accommodated in rooms sleeping 4 & 6 people together with 3 Teacher/Leader rooms to enable easy group supervision. The building is accessible with adapted facilities on the ground floor and a lift to the first floor. For smaller groups low occupancy rates are available and we offer self-catering and catered options.
Alongside our Lodge is the Cottage which provides lounge, dining, teaching, and catering facilities. Our Cottage is centrally heated with an open fire is the ideal place to relax and warm yourself after a long day of activities or to prepare for one of our exciting evening activities, delve into the woodland to meet creatures of the night or take a backseat whilst our tutors lead activities to burn off any excess energy before bed.
Other facilities available to Lodge visitors include our 18’ diameter Mongolian Yurt which can be used as a teaching area; the grounds provide the ideal outdoor classroom and fire pits and BBQ area a great setting for al fresco meals and singsongs.
